Mike Fisten

Michael Fisten, Senior Investigator / Partner

Mike Fisten, a veteran of the Miami-Dade Police Department retired after 25 years of service as a Detective Sergeant. During his tenure with the Miami Dade Police he spent three quarters of his career in investigative units as a detective and sergeant. His assignments included the Robbery Bureau, Homicide Bureau and the FBI Organized Crime Strike Force, he also supervised various district detective bureaus and the street level narcotics unit. His last assignment was a supervisor assigned to the Port of Miami, where he co-authored the Facility Security Plans and Standard Operating Procedures to bring the Port into Federal Compliance, these plans are now used as a model for other ports around the country. During his investigative career, he worked several high profile cases such as the Miami River Cops, Operation Cobra (Tabraue Organizations,) the Great Corrupter of Hialeah (Alberto San Pedro) as well as numerous high profile Homicides, RICO investigations, corruption investigations and police involved shootings. Mike Fisten spent almost 10 years in the nationally known Homicide Task Force Centac 26, which was instrumental in battling narcotic related homicides during the Cocaine Cowboy era in South Florida and New York. Mike Fisten became an expert in authoring search warrants, and Federal Title III affidavits as well as acting in the manner as case agent on the most complex federal racketeering cases. Mike Fisten retired with over 130 commendations, 25 departmental awards and recognized four (4) times as Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the US Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Florida. After his retirement in 2005, he joined the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco as a Special Agent. He quickly rose to the rank of Lieutenant and supervised the Southern Region Special Investigations Unit. Mike obtained a top-secret clearance from the FBI and was detached to the FBI Joint Terrorist Task Force (JTTF) for the past four years where he was at the forefront of financial aid to terrorism investigations. In 2008 Mike Fisten received the State Law Enforcement Officer of the year award for his contributions to the investigation of terrorism on a state and federal level. Mike became an expert in that field and currently instructs for the FBI on that subject matter on a national level. Mike retired from Law Enforcement after 30 years of service and co-founded Blue Line Investigations where currently conducting complex civil and criminal investigations throughout the State of Florida and elsewhere around the country.

Patrick Roberts

Patrick Roberts, Senior Investigator / Partner

With thirty years of law enforcement experience, Mr. Roberts has an extensive background in undercover operations targeting counterfeiting tobacco products, gambling operations, narcotics investigations, theft of alcoholic beverage and tobacco products, organized crimes infiltration into legitimate businesses, sales of alcohol products to under aged persons, and undisclosed financial interest investigations.  Mr. Roberts has been credited with successfully initiating joint investigations, (prior to 9-11) that identified financial interests by terrorist groups in alcoholic beverage establishments.  Mr. Roberts has risen through the State Police ranks from, agent, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Major and Chief. He developed and supervised numerous statewide task forces and was a long-time member of the Broward Organized Crime Task Force known as MIU and the FBI’s Organized Crime Strike Force.  After 9/11 Roberts created a relationship between the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and State Agents battling financial aid to terrorism investigations.  Roberts’s background and extensive knowledge of law enforcement operations has afforded him many friendships and a vast networking group with other goal oriented law enforcement professionals.  Mr. Roberts retired from Law Enforcement after 30 years of service and co-founded Blue Line Investigations where he is currently conducting complex civil and criminal investigations throughout the State of Florida and elsewhere around the country.

Patrick Roberts

Gregg Alper, Senior Investigator / Managing Partner

A South Florida native, Gregg is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, holding a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a focus on white-collar crime, complex criminal investigations, homeland security, and international criminal investigations. Gregg has built a diverse career that includes extensive experience in both law enforcement and the private sector.

As a former police officer, Gregg gained valuable investigative experience in areas such as traffic crashes, traffic homicide investigations, sexual assaults, and crimes against property and persons. After transitioning to the private sector, he built and sold several successful businesses. His investigative work now spans a variety of civil and criminal cases, including infidelity, child custody, political opposition research, corporate theft and embezzlement, and investment fraud.

In addition to his role at Blue Line Investigative Solutions, Gregg is the co-founder of Pro Legal Serve, a company specializing in service of process for attorneys. As managing partner, he continues to apply his broad expertise to complex investigations across Florida and beyond.
